It's true that pole dancing in itself is great exercise and can build some serious muscle. But if you want to progress in your pole fitness journey, there will probably come a time when you'll need to start incorporating specific strength-building exercises into your training routine
The fact is that most pole dancers will need to work on building up their strength with additional exercises before they can safely execute many intermediate and advanced pole tricks. That's because the easier pole moves you learn along the way will only take you so far in terms of trick-specific strength.
