Pole Conditioning Exercises for Strength

It's true that pole dancing in itself is great exercise and can build some serious muscle. But if you want to progress in your pole fitness journey, there will probably come a time when you'll need to start incorporating specific strength-building exercises into your training routine

The fact is that most pole dancers will need to work on building up their strength with additional exercises before they can safely execute many intermediate and advanced pole tricks. That's because the easier pole moves you learn along the way will only take you so far in terms of trick-specific strength.

To help you reach your pole goals sooner, Your Pole Pal has curated this playlist of pole conditioning videos.

They demonstrate a variety of exercises designed to increase strength for specific pole moves and tricks. So if you're looking to level up your skills and finally master an elusive trick, one or more of these videos could be just the ticket.

But remember, strength is only one component of the overall pole fitness you'll need to get you where you want to be. Having the muscle power to invert or do impressive tricks is one thing, but flexibility is often the key to making those tricks look their best.

With that in mind, be sure to come back and check out this video collection with specific stretches for pole dancing to help you improve flexibility in your back, hips, legs and shoulders.

But for now, let's stay focused on what you came here for: exercises for pole dancing strength.
